In August 2021, Eurobodalla Shire Council partnered with Aligned Leisure in the management of some of this community’s most important recreation and leisure facilities, including the Shire Pools and the much anticipated, Bay Pavilions – but who are Aligned Leisure? And what will they offer our community?
Who are Aligned Leisure?
Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary company of the AFL’s Richmond Football Club and was established as a vehicle to manage the operations of the club’s health, fitness and leisure business activities.
Formed in 2016, Aligned Leisure have partnerships with local Councils spanning across 28 facilities throughout Victoria and New South Wales, ranging from small community pools to tennis precincts, stadiums and indoor leisure centres, with the Bay Pavilions being celebrated as the first within the network to include an arts precinct.
What will they offer our community?
As a company that prides itself on connection and community, all local programs and services being offered have been developed in partnership with Eurobodalla Shire Council and key community groups to deliver a unique, tailored and exciting range of opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy. These include:
Arts Pavilion at Bay Pavilions:
- A range of arts, theatre and entertainment events
- Arts Exhibitions and Expos
- Children’s programming, including dance lessons
- Venue and room hire catering for community groups, conferences, and specialty events
Aquatics Pavilion at Bay Pavilions:
- Community fun days and events hosted across the indoor and outdoor pool areas
- Swimming lessons aligned to the national Swim and Survive Program Framework
- Squad Swimming
- Children’s Birthday Parties
- 24/7 Gym with state of the art equipment supplied by Life Fitness
- Personal Training, Boot Camp and Small Group Training
Outreach programs within the Shire:
- Over 50 group fitness classes weekly including Les Mills programming
- Older Adults Programming
- Education programs hosted in schools focusing on nutrition, physical activity, leadership and cultural awareness
- School Based Traineeships
- Accredited Mental Health First Aid Training
- Diverse and Inclusive Employment Pathway Programs
