Rainbow Club Australia is coming to the Bay Pavilions!
CEO of Rainbow Club, Catriona Barry, was excited to see the program expand to Batemans Bay. She said the program will provide personalised water safety and swimming lessons for children and young adults with a disability.
“The personalised lessons are aimed at giving children with a disability the opportunity to participate in their local community and be part of this great new facility,” she said.
“Congratulations to the team at Eurobodalla Shire Council and Aligned Leisure for bringing this fabulous facility to fruition. We are delighted that children with a disability will be at the heart of the community from the beginning and that they and their families will be welcomed to the Pavilions from the outset.”
Currently there are over 40 Rainbow Clubs operating in NSW providing swim safety lessons to 1500 children every weekend. Rainbow Club’s main aim is to assist children who find it difficult to participate in group swimming lessons, achieve water confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.
Aligned Leisure’s Group Operations Manager, Simon Bryson, was excited to be in partnership with Rainbow Club “which will facilitate greater access for aquatic activities in the community”.
“The Bay Pavilions looks forward to welcoming children with a disability into their local Rainbow Club.
Rainbow Club will meet on Sundays between 9am-12pm, beginning Sunday, July 24.
