Lockout Procedures - Aquatic Pavilion

At Bay Pavilions, we prioritise the safety and comfort of our patrons. To maintain a pleasant environment, we have implemented a lockout procedure for the Aquatic Pavilion during busy periods. This procedure helps manage capacity and ensures that lifeguards can effectively monitor all pool areas. Additionally, we have introduced a traffic light system to provide real-time updates on our current capacity status.

What is a lockout?

Lockout refers to the temporary restriction of entry to the Aquatic Pavilion when it reaches its maximum capacity. This measure prevents overcrowding and helps create a safer space for everyone. When the maximum capacity is reached, entry will be permitted on a one-in-one-out basis as other patrons leave.

Traffic Light System

Below are the traffic light images that will be displayed and posted on our social media stories during busy periods.

Green Light

When the green light is displayed, it means there is ample space available in the Aquatic Pavilion. You are welcome to join us and enjoy your swim without concerns of overcrowding.

Amber Light

The amber light indicates that the Aquatic Pavilion is approaching its maximum capacity. We kindly ask you to be aware that a lockout may be implemented soon. Arriving early or considering alternative times may help ensure a smooth entry.

Red Light

When the red light is displayed, it means the Aquatic Pavilion has reached its maximum capacity, and a lockout is in effect. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding as we prioritise the safety and comfort of all our patrons.

Capacity Monitoring and Updates

Our team continuously monitors the number of patrons in the Aquatic Pavilion throughout the day. We provide regular updates on our capacity status, which may change from green to amber or red based on demand. By keeping you informed, we aim to help you plan your visit accordingly and avoid any potential inconvenience.
